Jakarta Star Hotel Occupancy Rate Remain Stable in July 2022

Abstract

Jakarta’s hotel industry is still trying to revive during the economic recovery. Even though Jakarta star hotel’s occupancy rate has not returned to its normal levels before the COVID-19 pandemic, the occupancy rate in July 2022 remained constant or slightly up 0.2 percentage points compared to June 2022.

Jakarta’s hotel industry significantly improved compared to the previous year’s condition. Jakarta’s star hotel occupancy rate jumped by 22.8 percentage points from 31.7 percent in July 2021 to 54.5 percent in July 2022. Furthermore, the composition of hotel guests in Jakarta star hotels in July 2022 consists of 93.7 percent of Indonesian guests and 6.3 percent of foreign guests.

On the other hand, the average length of stay of star hotel guests went up by 0.11 days from 1.77 days in June 2022 to 1.88 days in July 2022. In contrast, the average length of stay of star hotel guests in July 2022 dropped by 0.76 days, year on year.
