Abstract

Jakarta’s foreign tourists are crawling to rise amid the COVID-19 pandemic resurgence of the Omicron variant in the country. During the PPKM level 3 in February 2022, it does not obstruct foreign tourists from visiting Jakarta. It can be seen from the increase in foreign tourist arrivals both monthly and annually.

Jakarta experienced an increase in foreign tourist visits in February 2022, increasing by 9.3 percent from 14,089 visits in the previous month (m-to-m) to 15,406 visits. Meanwhile, on an annual basis (y-o-y), the number of visits in February 2022 rose by 158.2 percent compared to the same month in 2021, which only reached 5,966.
