Abstract

The number of foreign tourist visits (tourists) to Jakarta through 3 entrances (Soekarno–Hatta, Tanjung Priok, and Halim Perdana Kusumah) in February 2016 reached 171,533 visits, an increase of 7.96 percent compared to foreign tourist visits in January 2016 which amounted to 158,888. visit. On the other hand, when compared to foreign tourist visits in the same month the previous year, the number of foreign tourists visiting in February 2016 decreased by 3.70 percent. The ten nationalities that made the most visitors to Jakarta in February 2016 were: China (23,249 visits); Malaysia (22,161 visits); Japan (14,863 visits); Singapore (13,587 visits); Saudi Arabia (8,451 visits); South Korea (8,377); America (6,066 visits); Taiwan (6,012 visits); India (5,689 visits); Netherlands (4,592 visits).

The room occupancy rate (TPK) for star hotels in February 2016 reached 56.15 percent, an increase in the ROR of 1.71 points from the ROR in January 2016 which reached 54.44 percent. On the other hand, when compared to the TPK in February 2015 which reached 52.32 percent, the TPK in February 2016 was 3.83 points higher.
