Jakarta’s Exports Are Getting Stronger

Abstract

The good news comes from Jakarta’s exports as its performance remains to grow positively. The exports of Jakarta increased significantly, rose by 7.64 percent from February 2021. This month’s exports were recorded as the highest value during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The exports in March recorded a sharp increase compared to the previous year, reaching 20.79 percent. This value recorded as the highest exports in the last five years while compared to the same month during the 2016 to 2020 period.

Cumulatively, the export value of Jakarta from January to March 2021 reached US$ 2,771.16 million, increasing by 6.02 percent compared to the previous year. It indicates a strong economic recovery amid the pandemic.
